How To Fry Fish

Prepare the Fish

Rinse fish thoroughly under cold water. Pat dry completely using paper towels. Remove excess moisture to help the breading stick.

Season

Lightly season fish if desired. Mama Jan's breading already contains flavorful Southern seasoning.

Coat

Pour Mama Jan's Crispy All-Purpose Breading into a shallow dish. Coat fish evenly on all sides. Let sit for 3-5 minutes before cooking.

Heat Oil

Heat cooking oil to 350°F-375°F. Use enough oil to fully cover or partially submerge fish.

Fry

Carefully place fish into hot oil. Cook until golden brown and crispy. Internal temperature should reach 145°F.

Rest & Serve

Remove fish from oil. Place on paper towels or a wire rack. Serve immediately and enjoy.
